About the email you received
We send a notice when something is newly recorded against a carrier's DOT number in the FMCSA's public data. In practice that means one of three things:
- A vehicle or driver placed out of service
- Recorded on a roadside inspection report.
- A new BASIC alert or a change in your safety scores
- Published in the FMCSA's monthly Safety Measurement System update.
- An inspection with significant violations
- Weighted by the severity the FMCSA itself assigns.
All of it is drawn from federal records about your own operation, published by the FMCSA and available to anyone. Nothing in our email comes from a purchased list, a data broker, or consumer data.
Who is sending it
ClaimShield — a safety and compliance company in Greenwood, Indiana, working with small and mid-size motor carriers on driver qualification files, drug & alcohol programs, safety scores and DOT audit readiness.

There is a one-click unsubscribe link in every message. It works immediately, needs no login, and it is permanent — we keep a suppression list specifically so an unsubscribe cannot be undone by a later campaign. Replying and asking to be removed works just as well; replies are read by a person.
